APPLICATION FOR CERTIFIED COPY OF MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE

The Office of Vital Records has been registering marriages occurring in Nebraska since 1909.

For records occurring prior to 1909, contact the County Clerk of the county where the marriage license was issued or the History Nebraska, P.O. Box 82554, Lincoln, NE 68501. They both will require a file search fee.

Please view Nebraska Revised Statutes (Section 71-649) before requesting a record. It is a felony to obtain, possess, use, sell, furnish, or attempt to obtain any vital record for purposes of deception.
